According to his nurse Bill had a pretty good night. They have given him juice and are trying a bit of oatmeal this morning. He has become more awake and I was able to have a short conversation with him. His chest tube is going to be changed and this is the next step in removing it. The best news of the day is that they are discussing moving him out of the ICU and into the surgical unit soon.
