One busy physical therapy day for Billy today. He pulled himself with his heels down to the physical therapy gym in his wheelchair. After getting there, he worked on the stairs, went up four stairs, then back down four stairs. He said this really took a lot out of him to do, but managed to do more physical therapy too. He walked from the gym to his bed (approx. 110 feet) and was able to rest for a little bit. After lunch, he worked on his right arm, by moving cones. He said that he would start with a pile, move one cone to a new pile, then continue to stack onto the new pile, as he removed one from the first pile. He was not allowed to use his shoulder to do this, so it would help his lower arm get some movement. Also this afternoon, he was working on sitting into the wheelchair and standing from the wheelchair, to help him prepare for when he goes home.
Billy told me that after the therapy today he was completely worn out. After a short nap, rest time though, he said that his legs are not feeling as sore as earlier today. Still he said it will be an early night as he is still tired from the workout today.
