Sunday Bill was able to take a shower, which is quite an endeavour. It takes a ton of energy to get from his bed to the chair to the shower then back to the bed. They did give him a break from physical therapy so the remainder of the day was relaxing.
Yesterday Bill got dressed into some scrubs. He was able to put on a shirt and pair of pants. It was a bit tricky around his brace on his knee and on the boots he wears for his ankles..... but he did it. I am so proud of him!
He is healing slow, but steady..... George said that he can see progress.
Now for the BEST NEWS!!!! Today he sat up, stood up and walked (with the help of a walker) to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, then walked down the hall (approx. 40 feet) to the shower. AMAZING!!! He makes progress every day and he is working so hard to get home.
We are very grateful for all the cards Bill has received. Yesterday the 2 that arrived were from Aunt Sophie, Wendy, Melissa & Sally. They put a smile on his face and made him laugh.
Thank you everyone for the love and prayers! I believe that Heavenly Father hears each prayer and is blessing our lives. This is a long road we are on and we appreciate the support from each friend and family member.

That is so amazing! I'm so happy for you all and especially happy for Bill. tell him I said hello although he may not remember me.
Yeah, we are so happy that the card finally made it. We were wondering if it would ever get there, or if we would need to make him another one. Love you Billy.
A good lesson for all of us about the little physical motions we take for granted, like walking 40 feet. Good for Bill!
